Pharmacologist, pathophysiologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor. Born in 1948 In 1966 he entered the DMI at the Faculty of Medicine. Throughout his studies, he took an active part in the public life of the course. Starting from the third year, he was a member of the scientific student group at the Department of Pathological Physiology, where he mastered a number of physiological and biochemical research methods; conducted experimental work with white rats. Participated in scientific student conferences annually; in the collections of scientific works of the DMI, two works were published. In 1972 he graduated with honors from the DMI and was recommended for admission to graduate school at the Department of Pharmacology, where until 1975. He studied under the guidance of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Ukrainian SSR Professor Grigory Evseevich Batrak. During the training, he completed his dissertation on the topic “On the directed stabilization of the central nervous system devices under conditions of ether anesthesia,” which he successfully defended in 1976. At the end of graduate school, he worked as an assistant in the department of pharmacology, was a curator of academic groups, hostel No. 3, took an active part in the psychological and pedagogical seminar for teachers of universities in Dnepropetrovsk, and in 1981 he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Marxism - Leninism at the course "International Relations".

From 1984 to 1993 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. From 1995 to 2000 - an expert at the State Pharmacological Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Since 1988 - Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology. In 1989, he was awarded the badge of Excellence in Health Care. In 1995 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Pharmacological correction of the functional state of the central nervous system in conditions of impaired androgenic activity of the sex glands”. He received the post of professor and became head of the department of pathological physiology of the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy; in 2005 he was awarded the title of professor of pathological physiology. Since 2012 - Chairman of the bioethics commission of the State Institution "Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". From 2016 to 2018 - Head of the Department of Pathological Physiology.

The author of more than 250 scientific papers, two inventions, 8 rationalization proposals, four information letters. Prepared one candidate of science. He lectures, conducts practical classes with students; pays great attention to the work of the student scientific circle. Annually holds one round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in pathological physiology. For many years she is a member of Specialized seminars on approbation of dissertations in the specialties of "Surgery", "Cardiology", "Sports and physiotherapy exercises."
