Microbiologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor.

Born in 1945. In 1968 he graduated from the medical faculty of DMI. In 1972 he defended his thesis "Some aspects of the genetic transformation of Actinomyces floridae", and in 1989 - his doctoral dissertation "Biological properties and prospects for the practical use of aerococcus antagonists."

In 1977-1980 He worked in Algeria in the Health Directorate as the head of the diagnostic laboratory, from 1985-1987. - At the Kabul Medical Institute, a consultant at the Department of Microbiology. Over the years, 18 publications have been published in foreign publications along with Algerian and Afghan colleagues.

Scientific direction - the study of relevant aspects of the genetic transformation of Actinomyces floridae; biological features and prospects for the practical use of aerococcus antagonists. Back in 1974, under the guidance of Professor M.L. Gorbunova, they began developing a drug with aerococci. The significant results obtained made it possible in 1980 to switch to the use of the new drug A-bacterin in clinical conditions. After the test, the Committee of Immunobiological Preparations recommended that the Ministry of Health of the USSR introduce a preparation for purulent-inflammatory diseases into public health practice.

Gennady Nikolaevich - scientific consultant of three successfully defended doctoral dissertations. Among the students of Professor G. M. Kremenchugsky - doctors of medical sciences, professors A. A. Zhurilo, S. A. Ryzhenko - the heads of leading healthcare institutions and the current head of the department D. A. Stepansky. G. Kremenchugsky is an Honored Worker of Public Education, author of more than 250 scientific publications, a national textbook on microbiology, three monographs, 12 copyright certificates, 10 patents and inventions.
