Obstetrician-gynecologist, doctor of medical sciences, professor. Born in 1952 In 1975, a graduate of the Donetsk State Medical Institute. After specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, from 1976 to 1979 he worked as a district doctor, obstetrician-gynecologist, and from 1979 to 1983 - as the chief doctor of the city hospital No. 5 m. Konstantinovka Donetsk region. From 1983 to 1985 he studied in clinical residency at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Institute, and from 1985 to 1989. worked as an assistant, from 1989 to 1995. - Associate Professor, from 1995 to 2001. - Professor and from August 2001 to the present - Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, State Institution "Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". In 1988 he defended his thesis “Functional state of the fetus in pregnant women at high risk of developing late toxicosis”, and in 1994 - the doctoral dissertation “Delayed fetal development in late gestosis (new approaches to its prevention and regulation of intrauterine development)." Professor V. A. Potapov is a talented and well-known in Ukraine scientist and practitioner obstetrician-gynecologist, who has certain achievements in the fundamental problems of theoretical and clinical medicine, an innovator and inventor. The main areas of scientific research: infection in obstetrics and gynecology; perinatal medicine; gynecological endocrinology; hyperproliferative and tumor pathology; organ-preserving and reconstructive surgery in gynecology; The latest technology in obstetrics and gynecology.
V. A. Potapov is the author of more than 300 scientific papers, 8 monographs, three textbooks, 12 invention patents, co-author of many national clinical guidelines and clinical protocols in the specialty. He prepared three doctors and 21 candidates of medical sciences. Valentin Aleksandrovich is an active participant in numerous conferences, seminars and master classes in obstetrics and gynecology in Ukraine and abroad. He is the chairman of the dissertation council for the defense of doctoral and candidate dissertations D 08.601.04 at the State Institution "Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", a member of the European Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the board of the public organization "Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine", Ukrainian Association of Reproductive Medicine (UARM) , vice-president of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Educational Simulation Technologies, chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ukraine, D epropetrovskogo separation between the People's Association "Ukrainian Congress of medical professionals," a member of the Presidium of the Ukrainian Association of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, member of the Commission for Health under the Health Department of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration, medical director of the Ukrainian News Agency, a member of the editorial boards of many professional journals.
